Our Beliefs

The Scriptures

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It services as the final authority in all matters of belief and behavior and is without error.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21

God

We believe there is one and only one living and true God. …The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. …He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross, He made provision for the redemption of men from sin.

John 14:6 ; 1 Timothy 2:5; John 3:16-18; Acts 4:12

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. …He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. …He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

John 16:12–15

Salvation

The deliverance, by the grace of God, from eternal punishment for sin which is granted to those who accept by faith God’s conditions of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus. Every person who truly is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven.

Acts 4:12, Romans 5:10, John 3:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:9

Baptism

Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. …It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:27, Mark 16:16
